For this project Catherine Widgery has created two distinct designs for the courtyard and vestibules on the ISU Campus. The elevated courtyard area will feature twelve 4' x 8' monumental copper clad circuit boards containing thousands of LED light nodes, joined together by a cable mounted canopy. The circuit boards will respond to the regional wind conditions which will be monitored by a roof mounted anemometer. The two vestibule entrances will feature pleated dichroic glass panels from Franz Mayer of Munich. These panels will respond to both natural as well as artificial lighting and welcome students into the building.
